Year 5 Visit to Weston Park

By 24 June 2024No Comments

We’re delighted to share the wonderful experiences our Year 5 classes had during their recent trip to Weston Park. Both days were packed with exhilarating activities and valuable learning opportunities, leaving our young Griffins with memories to cherish forever.

The children were able to take part in a creative session, which involved crafting clay medals inspired by historical honors like the George Cross, Italy Star, and Victoria Cross. This hands-on activity not only engaged their artistic skills but also provided a glimpse into our rich history.

The adventure continued with a thrilling Morse code cracking exercise, challenging our students to think like secret agents and enhance their problem-solving abilities. In the spirit of sustainable living, our Griffins also delved into the past by learning about the environment, use of allotments and rationing, understanding the importance of resourcefulness and resilience.

The highlight of the day was the afternoon campfire, where we all gathered to roast marshmallows, build dens and complete obstacle courses. This outdoor fun fostered teamwork and a sense of community.

We are incredibly proud of our Year 5 Griffins for their enthusiasm, teamwork and impeccable behaviour that allowed us to positively represent 麻豆传媒官网 throughout the trip.
