Our Year 1 children have been Slinky-Linky Snakes and have linked our GAF 2024 theme of ‘Energy’ with the scientific phenomenon of static electricity today. This is where there is an imbalance of electric charges within or on the surface of a material and the charge remains until it can be moved away by an electric current.
Our Exploring Elephants used it to make their butterflies’ wings flap (and to give themselves a wild hairdo!).听 From this amazing activity, our clever young griffins understand that electricity is energy and energy makes things move, grow or go.
