As part of Spanish Day, Year 5 took part in a creative art session inspired by Spanish artist Pablo Picasso and his distinctive Cubist portraits. They linked this to their current art topic on mixed media, and the children used a range of materials 鈥� including collage, wax crayons, and pastels 鈥� to create bold, abstract portraits in Picasso鈥檚 style. Pupils also explored the use of colour to express mood, learning the names of different colours in Spanish and discussing how artists use colour to convey emotion. The children thoroughly enjoyed the session, combining art, language, and culture in a fun and meaningful way!

Year 3 and 4 also took part in a lovely activity for Spanish Day! Pupils loved getting active and experiencing some traditional Flamenco Dancing! It was great to see everyone enjoying themselves and enthusiastically taking part!
