Year 5 had an absolutely wonderful time exploring the world of art! We learned about the incredible ‘En Plein Air’ artist, Kittie Jones, who鈥檚 known for capturing the beauty of nature and the coast in her paintings. Inspired by her work, the children set off on their own artistic journey, creating stunning coastal landscapes.
Using a mix of media鈥攊ncluding watercolours, oil pastels, and charcoal鈥� our Griffins were able to bring their coastal visions to life in a beautiful way. The children applied their knowledge of mixed media techniques to experiment with different materials, creating vibrant, textured pieces that truly captured the essence of the coast.
Their engagement and focus were incredible, and we all had so much fun in the process!聽 We can鈥檛 wait for the next lesson to keep exploring our artistic talents.
