Year 5 Visit to the National Space Centre

In April, our Year 5 Griffins ventured to the in Leicester. They started the day off by visiting the iconic Rocket Tower. This is home to Blue Streak and Thor Able rockets, as well as the Gagarin Experience, Apollo Lunar Lander and real Moon Rock. The four exhibition decks tell the story of the Space Race, history of rockets as well as Britain’s Space Race.

Following this, they visited the UK’s biggest planetarium (Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium). Our Griffins were blown away, journeying through the solar system, visiting the different planets and learning some amazing facts – some they didn鈥檛 know.

Later, they explored the different interactive rooms starting with the Solar System, then The Universe, 麻豆传媒官网 Planet and Into Space. This was an out-of-this-world school trip that has helped inspire the next generation of space scientists and engineers at 麻豆传媒官网.

Year 5 had such a fantastic day and represented the school brilliantly!
