]]> Our Griffins in Reception have had a fantastic time at West Midlands Safari Park.Ìý As part of their Wild and Wonderful theme, they have been learning about animals, so the visit was a perfect opportunity to bring their learning to life.

They discovered many interesting facts about safari animals and loved seeing them close up.Ìý The highlight of the day was their picnic lunch which they had been eagerly anticipating.Ìý Afterwards,Ìýthey enjoyed exploringÌýthe Dinosaur and Ice Age models and spotting even more animals along the way. A memorable time was had by all.

]]> Our Reception Griffins had an exciting school trip to the West Midlands Safari Park, where they enjoyed a day full of adventure and learning. As they travelled through the park, the children were thrilled to see a wide range of safari animals up close, including lions, giraffes, zebras, and elephants.

They also explored the Land of the Living Dinosaurs, where they came face to face with life-sized models of roaring T-Rexes and towering Brachiosauruses. The children were amazed by the realistic sights and sounds and loved learning about how dinosaurs lived millions of years ago.

Everyone had a lovely time, and the experience sparked lots of curiosity and conversations back in the classroom. Well done, Reception!

As part of their Science leaning, Reception Griffins had a very interesting spring walk around the school grounds. Pupils learnt how to spot signs of the seasons changing into spring and lots of new language was learnt along the way.
Following on from this, Reception bought in photos of themselves as babies and they looked at how they had changed over the years. Once again ‘super words’ were introduced and pupils were extremely ‘Proud Peacocks’ of their growing achievements.

The trip was linked to their current topic, “Wild and Wonderful”.Ìý Pupils were Slinky-Linky Snakes and connected what had been learnt at school to their Safari adventure, as well as learning plenty of new facts! Pupils saw a range of wild animals including giraffes, elephants, rhinoceroses, lions and many more.
An enjoyable day was had by all and our young Griffins did Â鶹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø proud!

World Book Day 2023 was certainly a busy day at Â鶹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø and we have certainly celebrated our love of books in style!

Reception Simmonds enjoyed the Rainbow Fish story. Our Griffins then decided to show their ‘individuality’ and ‘creativity’ by designing their own unique fish!
They were Choosing Chimps, ‘choosing’ and deciding which materials they wanted to independently access when decorating their fish.
