What a fantastic residential visit we have just enjoyed! The children made us proud every single day and were a real credit to their families. From start to finish, they showed kindness, resilience and enthusiasm, and it was a pleasure to see them grow in confidence as the trip went on.
We shared so many wonderful experiences together. The children loved exploring the National Railway Museum, where they learnt more about transport history and enjoyed seeing the impressive locomotives up close. At the Jorvik Viking Centre and Dig, they stepped back in time and discovered fascinating details about life in York鈥檚 past. Sightseeing around York was another highlight, giving everyone the chance to admire the beautiful city and learn more about its rich heritage.
There was plenty of fun too. A trip to Bowling brought lots of cheers, excitement and friendly competition, with many laughs had throughout the evening. Back at the accommodation, the children enjoyed playing board games, chatting with friends and making memories together in a relaxed and happy atmosphere. A visit to Eureka! Children鈥檚 Museum added yet another brilliant learning experience, with hands-on activities that sparked curiosity and encouraged plenty of questions.
Across the whole visit, the children were respectful, responsible and wonderfully supportive of one another. They joined in with everything wholeheartedly and represented the school exceptionally well. It was a joy to spend this time with them and to see them embrace each new activity with such positivity.
A residential visit like this creates memories that last long after the journey home, and this one certainly gave us all plenty to smile about.
